The Airlines and other travel companies that buy or sell travel products via any major computer reservations systems (CRS/GDS) use the gateway to connect their IBM-compatible PC, LAN, WAN, or intranet to one or more TPF/ALCS and Unisys mainframes.
The INFOConnect Airlines Gateway includes IP Concentration for the MATIP protocol, required by those that connect to hosts such as Amadeus, and WorldSpan. In addition, it also includes resource pooling for Attachmate ALC/UTS transports, including MATIP (TA pooling), Sabre IP (TA pooling) and ATSTCP (GTID pooling).
