There is no need for large capital investment. You don't need a big team. Your current PC can run the software. And no elaborate training is required.

All the different question designer tools (m/c, ordered, text..) have been merged into 1 tool and 1 wizard. First step of wizard asks which type of question they want and a preview is shown along with hints and tips
- KeyPoint template files
Read only KeyPoint files. Users have to save them with a new name to modify them.

- Easily draw lines at 45/90 degrees
Users can now hold down the SHIFT key when drawing a line at it will automatically display in 45 degree increments.
- Intelligent font list
The drop down list of available fonts now displays the font name in the actual font so users know what the font looks like.
- Improved question table wizard
The wizard now shows a preview of each of the different question table types.
- Option to turn a form to read-only
Read-only option after printing to prevent accidental changes before the form is scanned.
- Design question tables have an option called “Use variable height for questions”
If one question is rather long, and the rest are short, then the short questions have a different height to the longer question. This can result in a lot of space being saved.
- Changes to text questions
Users can now use controls to automatically change the width and height of the text edit box.
- New off-line/online data collection mode for users of the Data Entry module
Users can use SurveyServer as the offline server or they can purchase the KeyPoint Offline Server application from us which will run on their network. Mobile Windows devices go online to download the survey, offline to collect responses and then go back online to automatically send the data back to the KeyPoint master survey. Ideal for collecting data from Mobile Devices and Kiosks. The Data Entry module can also be configured to automatically upload responses every 5 minutes (assuming it has a network connection), store location data in each response, hide the information bar and auto save partially completed surveys.
- Refreshed user interface
All of the buttons on the toolbars have been changed to freshen up the user interface. There are also options to choose a colour scheme when using the Office toolbar scheme.
- Improved Windows 7 support
The software installs and behaves properly under Windows 7.
- Data Entry Module now has a Welcome dialog
This shows previously used surveys along with basic statistics on the surveys.
- Barcode support
There is a new barcode tool in the design tools palette which starts a Barcode Wizard. Users can stick barcode labels onto a printed KeyPoint survey and when it’s scanned into KeyPoint the code would be stored in the KeyPoint file. KeyPoint also generates its own barcode to help identify which survey it belongs to and potentially which respondent.
- Users can set the location where scans are stored
Users can change the location of where the scanned images are stored by the Scanning module. The new option is on the Scan menu, Options dialog.
- Improved OMR and ICR recognition
A number of changes have been made to improve scanning responses.
Simplified Analysis & Reporting

Now even quicker to produce good looking graphs and tables.
- Additional question coding option
Multiple choice questions can now record an answer label, code and score per answer. The additional code option is ideal for simplifying an answer label for use in graphs and tables.
- Stats table have an extra statistic - Mean (%)
This shows the mean as a percentage. Mean (%) also has the option to display a total.
- Change the analysis grid column order Question columns can be displayed in either alphabetical order or the order the questions are on the design form.

A new style of graphical tick box can be selected for multiple choice type questions. There are new styles of tick boxes, such as buttons, which can be used in a wider range of sizes and to far larger sizes.
- Add emoticons for fun, engaging surveys Respondents can express their feelings using emoticons. Each emoticon is available in a choice of three sizes.
- Users can add animations to their surveys
Users can add animated .GIF files. This is done in the same way users add normal images.
- Text to speech mode from within responses
Text is spoken when the mouse is over text, stops when it’s moved off text. Ideal for use within Data Entry module on mobile devices or Kiosks.
- Option to lock the Data Entry Module in full screen mode
Keypoint users can now configure the responses part of the program (and Data Entry Module) to be locked in full screen mode. The respondent then has no access to other KeyPoint features or the underlying PC. Ideal for Kiosks and Mobile Devices.
- Users can add navigation buttons to the design page that will work in Responses and web surveys
KeyPoint has a new button wizard which allows users to add navigation buttons to the page. This gives users more control over the appearance of electronic surveys and can make them look neater if the buttons are on the page rather than below it. Users can also choose a button style and add their own text to go on the buttons.
- In Responses users can now create a blank response and then switch to full screen mode
Users can also switch between full screen mode and normal mode by double clicking on the page.
- Improved data entry scrolling
KeyPoint now automatically scrolls the survey in Responses (or the Data Entry module) so that it shows as much of the next question as possible (scrolls it to the top of the page).
- View a survey a page at a time
Users can now choose to view a survey in Responses (or Data Entry Module) as one page beneath another, as per now, or use the new option to view a page at a time. When viewing a page at a time then there is a new floating palette which has back a page, next page and save buttons.
