NetAdvantage for .NET is our comprehensive suite of Windows Forms, WPF, ASP.NET, Silverlight, and now jQuery controls, components, and tools for Line of Business applications on the .NET platform. In this release we have included our NetAdvantage for jQuery to help you "target the modern Web" with pure jQuery and ASP.NET MVC toolsets. It is our solution for helping you develop applications based on emerging HTML5 and CSS3 Web technologies. You will be able to create awesome website experiences in browsers across platforms and on devices backed by any server data endpoint—without the need for any plug-ins or extensions. And it's exactly what you need if you're using jQuery and JavaScript to build applications targeting Web browsers.

Windows Forms

• Continued investment in Windows Forms: As the marketplace moves to XAML technologies, we continue to invest heavily in Windows Forms.  We currently have no end-of-life or sunset plans for Windows Forms, so customers developing or maintaining Windows Forms-based applications today can count on us to enhance and extend the capabilities in NetAdvantage for Windows Forms.
• Office 2010 Integration: We’ve continued to add value to our core offering by adding support for exporting to Microsoft Word with the new WinGridWordWriter and WinGridFormattedTextWordWriter in a forward-only streaming manner for high performance, and our Word library with its object model for creating and working with Word documents.

ASP.NET

• Greater Depth and Breadth than the Competition: The dominance of our high performance ASP.NET AJAX data grids, trees and dropdowns has been bolstered by new, customer-requested features and functionality, including client binding. New controls like the HTML5 video player, upload control, and persistence framework further broaden the value of our ASP.NET toolset to Web developers everywhere.
• Office 2010 Integration: We’ve continued to add value to our ASP.NET offering by adding our Word library so that developers can create and work with Word documents from within their Web applications.

WPF Line of Business

• Performance, Quality and Clear APIs: Today’s rapid application developer wants to decrease their time to market, and our WPF Line of Business controls build upon the Unified XAML Product Strategy to give developers the clear and consistent API that’s easy to work with, and the quality and performance they need to create groundbreaking, innovative experiences.
• Create Office-centric Applications:  Improve the integration of your applications with Microsoft Word with our new Word Library, and components that simplify exporting WPF data grids to Word document format. Above and beyond simple appointment tracking, our WPF scheduling controls enable you to design visual fidelity into your applications that matches Microsoft Outlook, and we now give you an extremely simple way of leveraging your existing Microsoft Exchange Server data with an Exchange Connector for our scheduling controls.  We continue to build out our Office interoperability to enable your applications to increasingly integrate with your organization’s many Office touchpoints.
