Safety 1st+ has been specially designed to help manage these activities. It keeps a register of equipment, provides regular checklists, records the results of inspections and maintenance and produces reports and certificates. (It is also fully compatible with the Frontline range of Asset and Maintenance Management suite of products from Shire Systems)

Shire software is widely used by PATS contractors and their clients, who regularly exchange files of data using the Shire Systems format as a standard. The system has been installed in a wide range of sites, including local authorities, colleges, NHS trusts, manufacturing companies, all of which rely on it to keep control of their assets and ensure compliance with regulations and legislation.
