Visual Paradigm for UML Modeler

Visual Paradigm for UML (VP-UML ME) supports all UML diagrams (e.g. use case diagram, sequence diagram, activity diagram, class diagram, component diagram, timing diagram) and Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) for database design. VP-UML ME can talk to VP Teamwork Server to share design with other team member. VP-UML ME also provides basic PDF and HTML report generation features.

• System analysis and design
  VP-UML ME fully supports UML 2.2 specification. Use case can be elaborated by sequence diagram or activity diagram. Structural layer of the system can be designed and documented in class diagram, composite structure diagram and object diagram. Sequence diagram, communication diagram, state diagram and activity diagram are designed for behavioral modeling. System deployment architecture can be documented by component and deployment diagrams.

• Documentation generation
  VP-UML ME generates documentation in PDF and HTML format. There are various options to control and customize the generated documentations.
• Plug-in architecture
  VP-UML ME plug-in architecture provides an extendable platform for developers to add functions to VP-UML ME. Developers can reference to the plug-in development guide to build their own plug-in to read, update, retrieve and delete diagrams and model elements.
• Team collaboration
  VP-UML ME talks to VP Teamwork Server to provide a collaborative modeling platform. With the team collaboration features, team members can view and edit the same project, or even same diagram simultaneously. All changes will be stored in the VP Teamwork Server in revision basis.
• Interoperability
  VP-UML ME can import/export to XML, XMI and various image formats. VP-UML can also import Rational Rose project file.
